To capture some precious moment of life, digital camera is the best option as it gives wonderful photography experience to the users. Great quality picture and videos can be captured by the help of digital camera. Some of the added advantages and benefit that is provided in the digital camera that we do not find in a standard 35mm SLR camera include auto timer, forward and rewind options and the zooming option. To have perfection in photography with such advantageous digital camera it should also be equipped with qualitative range of accessories that will ensure enhanced performance from the camera. Among all the accessories of the digital camera, battery is the most important accessory that supplies power to the camera in order to capture amazing pictures and videos. Use of highly efficient and robust battery will ensure that the device consumes less power and it is able to provide the back-up for longer period of time.
In digital cameras there are generally two types of battery that are used. Standard AA-size cell and the rechargeable battery are the major types of battery used with digital cameras. Both types have certain advantages and disadvantages and it is up to the user to choose the right battery for their digital cameras. Standard AA-size battery is generally used in case of emergency due to its very short life. It is used in the situation when the rechargeable battery gets discharged during the long journey or some other similar situation. Other type of battery that is used with digital camera is rechargeable battery, which can be easily recharged whenever the battery get discharged. Rechargeable battery is also called as the proprietary camera cell.
Rechargeable battery is more expensive as it is available in compact size and has longer life. Mixture used in the rechargeable battery is Nickel-metal hydride (NiMH), which is also better and safe for the environment. Taking important care of battery is quite vital in digital camera as it is the most important accessory of the digital camera. Battery of the camera should never be allowed to touch the metal objects such as coins etc. as this can cause short circuit or can discharge the battery also. The most important thing is one should use the right kind of battery and should always clean the battery component and should always remove the battery when camera is not in use. Digital camera batteries are provided by some leading companies such as Benq, Canon, Casio, Konica, Olympus, Samsung, Panasonic, Sony and Toshiba.
It is that time of year again when we are all searching for the ideal present. With such a wide range of products on the market it is easy to see why it takes many people so long to choose which present they are going to buy.
One product, however, always seems to be on many peoples list; digital cameras. Many of us like to buy digital cameras so we can take pictures of the festive period and the fun and frolics we may get up to. They are a great Christmas present to give to a loved one, or even if you feel you deserve a treat after a long year.
Choosing the right camera can be hard though as there are a wide range of options varying in price and quality. It all depends on what you plan on using the camera for, if it is for taking a few photos of the family and friends then a mid-range 7-8 megapixel camera would suffice. A Sony digital camera would be a good choice here, for example, the Cyber-shot DSC-T700 has 10.1 megapixels, touchscreen LCD and is lightweight.
There is a range of cameras ideal for casual use; however, if you are looking for something more professional then you must to be prepared to pay a little more. The quality of these types of cameras is considerably higher and you often receive some extras as part of the deal.
If you are looking for a professional camera then a Canon digital camera is a good option. The Canon Rebel XSi is a fantastic 12.2 megapixel camera with great image quality and reasonably priced, this camera is definitely worth thinking about getting as a Christmas present.
If you are one of many who like to capture those precious Christmas moments then a digital camera is certainly for you. With a variety of cameras at competitive prices get online and compare the leading brands to find the best deals around.
Basically for my birthday I would like a digital SLR camera. However, I am unsure as to which make is the best, most reliable and best value for money! An reviews on a particular make would be appreciated thanks
Canon makes the best Point & Shoot cameras, but Nikon makes the best DSLR’s. it’s not the image quality and size that makes the difference between the two, it little things ( that for a pro are really important ) like the location and easily to reach and use buttons on the Nikon’s. the dedicated ISO, White balance and Image Size buttons, the camera ergonomics and how it feels in your hand, and the most important thing, the TWO command dials Nikon has and can do anything as apposed to Canon’s one command dial and having to hold an extra button to make it usable as the second in Nikon’s.
I am 16 years old and I have been using my mother’s camera for a very long time and I have finally saved up enough money to buy a camera and some accessories. I think I am going to get the Canon EOS Rebel T2i, but what other cameras compare to it? Which Nikon is the best? Please remember that I am on a budget and the camera needs to be under $1200. Thank you!
At your budget look at the Nikon D7000
Sample video with the D7000
The Nikon that is in direct competition with the T2i is the Nikon D3100 ($700)
1. I have a 35mm film Canon EOS300V from 2003 and want to go digital as I am tired of wasting money on developing many rubbish photographs. Will my 28-105mm and 75-300mm lenses be compatible with a new Canon Digital SLR body?
2. Which bodies would you recommend for about £300 – £400? Brand new or slightly better second-hand of Ebay?
Any recommendations very appreciated!
Since the EOS 300V have an EF mount, then the answer would be yes. All Canon EOS lenses can be used to a Canon Digital EOS bodies – except if you’re talking about the newer EF-S lenses which can only be used in Canon’s APS-C DSLRs.
So, I believe that your 28-105mm and 75-300mm will fit into the newer DSLR.
For that kind of budget I would recommend an EOS 350D, or an EOS 400D if you can get it at that kind of price. These two are a very good camera and you don’t have to get a second hand camera with that kind of budget (well except if you plan to get more accessories along with your camera).
I saw an ad for it, and it seemed cool. I’m only the family memory keeper, but am ready to move on up to a dslr. I keep hearing the canon rebel is a great starter cam, and saw costco sells it for $499. this olympus is $100 more, and has a great ad. I just want to know if it has more than advertising going for it.
Olympus E420 is a great DSLR , and one of the smallest and lightest DSLR (380g), using the 4/3 CCD sensor the Telecentric lens give Fringe free shots.
I’ve got the E510 which is about the same, (10 MP 460g Image stablisation)
Only drawbacks are
smaller sensor then most DSLR 4/3= (17.3 x 13mm) which means the photos are noiser at higher ISO (400+) compared to (22.2 x 14mm) Cannon , and (23.7 x 15.6mm) on the Nikon
No Image Stablisation
Might be to small for some people
other DSLR to look at the Nikon D40 and the Cannon 400D
The best way is to go into the Store and have a look and feel of each DSLR, and see which one you prefer.
It is a good camera – yes. It’s the beginniner level for Canon‘s EOS line.
And it is the XSi the new one ^_^ And if you have the money – buy the 12 MP as new 14 MP are already coming out. The XSi is a little more expensive but the added benefits kind of out weigh that.
That being said, I own an XTi and love it. Pretty much everyone does – it is the most used camera on flickr.com. go to flickr.com and go to explore -> camera findr This will show you reviews and photos taken with this camera so you can see what people are doing with it.
It’s definitely nice, and Amazon has some good packages for it. Just consider the XSi before you buy.
